A Fresh Start Centers on Stability Patience Security
This upcoming Super New Moon at 7° of Taurus = security and offers a powerful moment to pause, plant seeds, and re-evaluate what truly matters to you. Taurus energy centers on stability, patience, and the things that make us feel secure, whether that's your finances, daily routines, physical well-being, or quiet time in nature. Nature and good food are my favorites when it comes to Taurus.
This is the kind of energy that encourages us to slow down, get intentional, and commit to what we want to grow over time. Whether you're thinking about building a stronger financial foundation, improving your daily routines and self-care, or starting something that requires long-term dedication, this New Moon says it’s a great time to begin. All New Moons invite fresh starts, but Taurus reminds us that real, lasting change takes patience—and that the most meaningful things in life are worth the time and effort.
The Super New Moon in Taurus that focuses on Security is not all calm and cozy.
This New Moon isn’t happening in a peaceful vacuum—it’s caught in a tense cosmic conversation. It’s forming a square, which is considered a challenging angle, to both Mars and Pluto, who are currently locked in an opposition. That exact opposition peaks on April 26, and its intensity surrounds this lunation. Imagine the Moon trying to find stillness, like someone meditating while two people argue loudly in the next room. It takes a strong and centered presence to stay grounded in that kind of energy.
Mars in Leo brings boldness, fiery passion, and an unwillingness to back down. Pluto in Aquarius is focused on deep transformation, personal empowerment, and collective shifts. These energies aren’t exactly known for playing nicely—especially since both planets are sitting in fixed signs. And fixed signs? They’re famous for their determination, but also for digging in their heels and resisting change.
So what does this mean for you?
You might feel internal pressure or run into external resistance, especially if you're trying to make progress but keep hitting a wall. There may be a pull between the comfort of the familiar and the need for meaningful change.
This is where reflection becomes essential.
Let’s take a closer look at the Mars–Pluto opposition.
Internal conflict? That’s the point.
When these two planets oppose each other, the tension can show up both in the world around us and within ourselves. Mars urges immediate action “Do it now!” while Pluto calls for deeper, more lasting change. The result can be frustration, power struggles, or the urge to force something forward before you're clear on what’s really happening beneath the surface.
Now add a New Moon to the mix, and that internal tension gets highlighted. You may be asking:
Why am I doing what I’m doing?
Am I chasing something that doesn’t actually matter to me anymore?
Am I holding onto something because it’s familiar not because it’s good for me?
These are not surface-level questions. Pluto never does surface-level. It wants truth. Mars wants action. Taurus wants stability. So this trio is asking you to examine what you’re building and whether it’s really aligned with what you value.
Let’s Talk About Values
Taurus energy always comes back to values. What do you value most right now? Time? Money? Your health? Simplicity? Freedom? Security? Connection?
This New Moon is a chance to reconnect with what actually matters to you not what the world says you should want, or what you’ve wanted in the past, but what truly supports you now.
You don’t have to figure it all out at once. But do take some time to sit with those questions.
Write them down if it helps:
What are the top three things I value right now in my life?
Am I making space for those things, or are they getting pushed aside?
Where am I spending my energy that doesn’t support those values?
And remember: clarity isn’t always comfortable, especially with Pluto involved. Sometimes we don’t like what we see when we dig deeper. But the only way to build something strong and lasting (Taurus!) is to start with truth.
You Might Feel This in the Body
Taurus is a very physical sign it rules the neck, throat, voice, and the senses. If you’re feeling this New Moon energy strongly, you might notice it in your body. Maybe tension in your shoulders or jaw, or a need to slow down and ground yourself. Listen to those cues.
This is a good time to get out of your head and into something tactile. Cook something from scratch. Go for a walk without your phone. Tend to your garden or your space. Breathe. Take care of your physical body as a way of honoring your emotional body. They’re connected.
And Then There’s the Fixed Sign Standoff
All three of the signs involved in this New Moon dynamic Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius are what we call “fixed” signs. Fixed signs are known for being… well, fixed. They’re determined, consistent, and sometimes a little stubborn. They don’t like to change course quickly.
So if you’re feeling resistance right now from others, from yourself that’s to be expected. You may want to hold your ground even when change is needed. Or you may feel like others are resisting the shifts you’re trying to make. That’s just part of the process. The key is not to force it.
Instead, take a deep breath and ask:
“What would feel like a solid, grounded step in the right direction, not a leap, but a step?”
Taurus reminds us that small, steady steps are enough. And when you align those steps with your values, real change becomes possible even in the midst of the chaos we are currently in.
Intentions That Stick
New Moons are always great for intention-setting. But with this one, it’s not about manifesting things overnight. It’s about committing to a process. Taurus reminds us that tending to your dreams are like tending a garden it takes patience.
So if you’re writing intentions, think long-term:
“I intend to build more financial stability by creating and sticking to a budget.”
“I intend to nourish my body with food and rest that supports me.”
“I intend to speak my truth with more confidence and less fear.”
Let them be simple. Let them be rooted in what you really value not what you think you should want.
And if you’re not sure what that is just yet, that’s okay too. This New Moon might stir some things up before it settles. Just stay curious.
