As I sit down to write about Venus in Leo, I’m reminded just how beautiful a placement it is to have Venus in this sign. We have Venus in Leo once a year for a few weeks, however this year is special because of the retrograde of Venus. She'll spend from June 5th to October 8th in the sign of Leo.
In this post I will talk about how to use this new cycle that Venus is about to begin. It is know as the Venus Star Point. It starts with the retrograde which runs from July 22nd through September 3rd. I’ll tell you how it may present itself to us with ways for you and me to use this once in an 8-year cycle. “Venus Retrograde in the sign of Leo”.
Let's approach this one step at a time since Venus has a few duties in the astrological world. We will start with just the planet, then I will talk about how Venus works her magic when she wears the cloak of Leo. Then cover the retrograde insight as well.
Venus is associated with various aspects of our lives, including love, beauty, values, creativity, and social interactions. It can inspire our sense of what is beautiful, guide our preferences in fashion and personal adornment, and influence our romantic relationships and social interactions.

Now let’s explore the Venus retrograde cycle, which is July 22, 2023 through September 3, 2023. Moving from 28 degrees of Leo back to 12 degrees of Leo. Venus only retrogrades in a specific sign once every 8 years, so it has some significance. The last time Venus was retrograde in Leo was July 25, 2015 through September 5, 2015. I recommend you look back to this time period and see what it was that had your attention. If you can do this, you will have personal clues as to what theme you might expect this time around.
For example If you experienced relationship issues or challenges during the previous Venus retrograde in Leo, there is a possibility that similar situations or themes may resurface during the current Venus retrograde in Leo.
However, it's important to approach these experiences without fear if back then your experience was not a happy one, and instead view them as opportunities for deeper self-understanding and growth.
