Evolutionary Changes with Pluto
This Full Moon is at 21 degrees and 21 minutes in the sign of Capricorn. The Sun is also at the same degree however it's in the sign of Cancer. Simultaneously this Full Moon is hanging out with Pluto, so we get an added layer of intensity and the potential for a big shift in our lives that comes from wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
So what does this current Full Moon show us? What is it revealing?
Let’s start with this first. Whenever the Moon is in the sign of Capricorn it's considered detrimental - not a great place for the Moon to express itself in its nature way. Capricorn’s energy is opposite what the Moon likes best which is being sensitive, emotional, cuddly, nurturing, psychic, defensive, hypersensitive, passive, vulnerable just to name a few. As you can see not all of these traits of a Cancer Moon are positive or optimistic but to be clear they are all still exactly what Cancer represents and all zodiac signs are like that. We have ways to use each sign skillfully and not so skillfully, both are necessary for complete understanding.
When the Moon is in the sign of Capricorn which it is at this Full Moon, we are being shown the qualities of Capricorn.
The Full Moon in Capricorn is available for us to see things in a more practical manner, to focus on goals around family and to ensure the security you want around your home family and career. The Full Moon in Capricorn can be cautious, hardworking and ambitious; there's not a lot of room to be overly emotional when we have this earthy – grounded Full Moon. Which is fine in my eyes since there are times when we are too emotional, and we can’t think straight. The Capricorn Moon helps us to move beyond that for a time. It is very beneficial and supportive in times that are overly emotional.
Another understanding of the Capricorn energy is that this sign is feminine and receptive and holds a lot of Wisdom. So I love to relate her to Grandmother. A lot of people see Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, as Father Time and that is true, but I also feel very drawn to the Grandmother energy of this Capricorn Full Moon.
So why not tap into your own Grandmother energy for wisdom and guidance. Deepening your connection to grandmother earth will bring security in all forms. One easy way to do this is to walk barefoot on the earth. This help us to feel more grounded and connected to what is real for you. This Full Moon is also a bit closer to the earth then most Full Moons which is why it is called a Super Moon. The pull of the tides and human emotion is stronger when we have these Super Moons.
This Full Moon is also hanging out near Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun is in opposition to Pluto.
It will take the Moon a few hours to make contact with Pluto and that indicates that this Full Moon will have a deeper meaning then just finding a way to create the security you are looking for.
Pluto has been in Capricorn for 14 years now and as it moves through the final degrees of Capricorn we are being shown what is no longer working in regard to our collective and personal beliefs. What we felt we could count on, the structures and foundations in place, governments –laws and policies as well as many subjects around life and death are all going through a deep purification. Pluto is revealing all the darkness around power and control - what no longer works, and that in time, will create space for what is to come.

We are truly in a deep evolutionary period collectively and personally.
This is just how it is right now and when we have lunar events near Pluto that makes it personal. It is time to evolve beyond the old patterns and beliefs you may have.
And to make things more personal I want to introduce you to the Lunar Gestation Phase. It is 3-year cycle that happens in 9-month intervals. It starts with every New Moon at a certain point in the Zodiac, 9 months later we have the 1st quarter Moon very close to the same location as the New Moon. 9 months after the 1st quarter moon we have the Full Moon near the same location and 9 months after we have the last quarter Moon same location. 9 months after we start all over again with that Zodiac sign. Total is 3 years or 36 months.
With that being said I am going to give you the dates that are related to this Full Moon so if you are inclined to research your own life you will see a pattern. What began 18 months ago is coming to Full View now.
New Moon January 13, 2021 Mid-night EDT or January 12 for the other USA time zones. This New Moon was one degree from Pluto at 23 Capricorn, so this began a very deep and intense examination of your foundation, your beliefs, what you trust and what you know. If you do New Moon rituals look and see what seeds you planted for your life back then. If you don’t keep a journal at least look at a calendar from that time to see what you were focusing on or how you were feeling. NOT BEFORE. New Moon energy is not active till the New Moon has bloomed.
*Side note: Of course we were all deep in the January 6th happenings in Washington DC. Can you see 18 months later (NOW) what is being revealed from that time with the Full Moon. Perfect example of how this lunar phase process works in public issues. But back to us.
October 12, 2021 we had the 1st quarter Moon, this is when the Moon and Sun are square and the Moon is near the degree of the New Moon 9 months prior. This one was at 20 Capricorn. Lots of times in this Lunar Phase there is stress and struggle but also courage and determination based off of the ideas and seeds you planted at the New Moon 9 months ago. The struggles that occur at this quarter moon prepare us for a positive leap forward at the next lunar phase which would be a Full Moon 9 months from now. This is where we are today.
The Full Moon is now ready to reflect everything it has learned over the last 18 months.
9 months from now we will be starting the process of tying up loose ends. This is the last quarter Moon, it is on April 13, 2023 at 23 Capricorn. The same theme as all the others just mentioned but this lunar event is not even close to Pluto this time so the deep changes that began in January of 2021 will come to a close over the next 9 months.
We have some deep transformative work to do with this Full Moon if you are up for it. If you are not well it will happen anyway in some form or another.
