The Full Moon in Capricorn – June 29, 2026: Wisdom Gained Through Experience arrives on June 29, 2026, at 8° Capricorn.

Because this wisdom filled Full Moon occurs early in the sign, we are working with a strong and concentrated expression of Capricorn energy. Capricorn is often associated with achievement, responsibility, structure, and long-term goals. While all of those themes may be present, I believe this Full Moon is asking us to look a little deeper.

A Full Moon brings awareness. It shines a light on something that may have been hidden, overlooked, or not fully understood. This Full Moon is no different. However, rather than focusing solely on what needs to be released, I invite you to consider what has been learned.

What wisdom have you gained through your life experiences?

What knowledge do you rely on every day to sustain your life, your home, and your well-being?

What lessons have shaped the person you have become?

Capricorn is an earth sign. It is practical and grounded in reality. It is not interested in theories that have never been tested. The wisdom represented by Capricorn comes from showing up, doing the work, making mistakes, learning from them, and continuing forward. It develops through experience, perseverance, and the willingness to keep going even when the path is not easy.

As you reflect on this Full Moon, consider the accomplishments that have brought you to this point. Some may be visible achievements that others recognize. Others may be quiet victories that only you understand. Both matter.

Ask yourself:

  • What wisdom do I have today that I did not have before?

  • What achievements am I proud of?

  • How do I define success?

  • Do I value my own life experience?

  • What lessons continue to support me in my daily life?

These questions may reveal more about this Full Moon than any prediction ever could.

Looking Beyond a Single Lunar Cycle

Most discussions about the Moon focus on the monthly cycle. We hear about the New Moon beginning a new chapter, the Full Moon bringing completion or release, and then the cycle begins again a few weeks later.

While there is certainly value in that approach, I prefer to look at a much larger process.

One of my favorite tools is the Lunar Gestation Cycle, a three-year developmental cycle that begins with every New Moon. Rather than viewing the Moon through the lens of a single month, this approach allows us to observe a longer process of growth, adjustment, awareness, and completion.

The cycle unfolds through four nine-month phases. We initiate something, work to develop it, gain awareness of where we are in the process, and eventually harvest the results before beginning a new cycle once again.

The Full Moon represents the awareness phase of that journey. It is the point where we can step back, look at the bigger picture, and recognize how far we have come.

The Story That Began in December 2024

This particular Full Moon connects back to the New Moon at 9° Capricorn that occurred on December 30, 2024.  At that time, something began. For some people, that beginning may have been obvious. Perhaps you started a new job, accepted greater responsibilities, enrolled in a course of study, launched a project, or committed yourself to achieving a long-term goal. For others, the beginning may have been much more personal and internal. It may have involved a change in attitude, a shift in priorities, or the realization that something in your life needed your attention.

Nine months later, on September 29, 2025, the First Quarter Moon occurred at 7° Capricorn, very close to the degree of this Full Moon. The First Quarter phase is where the work begins in earnest. It is where adjustments are made, obstacles appear, and commitment is tested.

That phase often requires effort, patience, and persistence. It asks us to keep moving forward even when progress feels slower than we would like.

Now, another nine months later, we arrive at this Full Moon at 8° Capricorn.

This is the awareness point in the cycle.

Take a few moments to look back over the last eighteen months. Consider where you were at the end of 2024 and where you are now. What has changed? What challenges have strengthened you? What knowledge have you gained through experience? What evidence do you have that you are wiser today than you were then?

The answers may reveal themselves through your career, finances, responsibilities, family life, personal growth, or simply through the way you now respond to life's challenges. Sometimes the greatest accomplishments are not external achievements at all. Sometimes they are the lessons learned, the resilience developed, and the wisdom earned through living your life.

Capricorn reminds us that wisdom is earned. It develops through experience, responsibility, and time.

This Full Moon invites you to recognize just how much you have learned, appreciate how far you have come, and trust the wisdom you have gained along the way.

The Timing Is Not Accidental

What makes this Full Moon particularly important is that it does not occur in isolation. All within just a few days, we have Mercury stationing retrograde, Jupiter entering Leo, and Mars moving toward a conjunction with Uranus. It feels as though the Full Moon is bringing awareness and then immediately asking us what we intend to do with that awareness.

The wisdom that becomes visible under this Full Moon is not meant to sit on a shelf. It is meant to be applied. The experiences, lessons, and knowledge you have gained over the last eighteen months can now serve as a foundation for the next chapter of your life.

Mercury Retrograde: Reviewing What You Know

Mercury stations retrograde on the same day as the Full Moon and remains retrograde through July 23. Most people immediately think about communication problems, computer glitches, delayed plans, and misunderstandings. While those things can certainly happen, I think Mercury Retrograde serves a much more useful purpose.

Mercury Retrograde asks us to reconsider what we think we know. As this Full Moon shines a light on the wisdom you've gained over the last eighteen months, Mercury Retrograde encourages you to review how you're using that wisdom today. Have you outgrown an old belief? Have you been operating from assumptions that are no longer true? Are there decisions that deserve another look before moving forward?

Sometimes we become so busy living our lives that we forget to stop and evaluate whether our current plans still make sense. Mercury Retrograde creates space for reflection and encourages us to slow down long enough to notice details we may have missed the first time around. The combination of the Full Moon and Mercury Retrograde feels like an opportunity to pause, reflect, and ask yourself whether your actions are aligned with what you've learned.

Jupiter Enters Leo: Trust Yourself

The day after the Full Moon on June 29/30, Jupiter enters Leo and begins a year-long journey through this sign. If Capricorn represents wisdom gained through experience, Jupiter in Leo asks whether you trust that wisdom enough to let yourself be seen.

Many people spend years learning, growing, and developing their talents, yet still hesitate when it comes time to share those gifts with the world. Leo reminds us that there comes a point when preparation must turn into participation. There comes a time to stop waiting for the perfect moment and begin expressing what you have learned through your own unique experiences.

This transit encourages confidence, creativity, leadership, and self-expression. It asks you to stop hiding your strengths or minimizing what you bring to the table. That doesn't mean becoming arrogant or making everything about yourself. In fact, one of the challenges of Jupiter in Leo can be believing that confidence and wisdom are the same thing.

The healthier expression is confidence rooted in experience. You know what you've lived through, what you've learned, and what you've overcome. Jupiter in Leo encourages you to trust that knowledge and use it. Make use of this creative energy but remain grounded in the wisdom that Capricorn has helped you develop.

Mars Conjunct Uranus: A Push Toward Change

As if that weren't enough, Mars and Uranus come together on July 4. This is one of those aspects that can bring sudden developments, unexpected opportunities, surprising news, or a strong desire to break free from situations that have become limiting.

Mars wants action and Uranus wants change. Together they can create a powerful urge to move quickly, make adjustments, and head in a new direction. Sometimes this combination can bring exciting breakthroughs or innovative solutions that seem to arrive out of nowhere, often through inspired ideas, especially with both planets in Gemini adding speed, curiosity, and mental stimulation to the mix.

At other times, this energy can simply show up as restlessness or impatience with circumstances that no longer feel like a fit. Thoughts move quickly, plans shift quickly, and it can be easy to jump ahead before everything is fully formed or clearly thought through.

The challenge is remembering the wisdom of Capricorn. A sudden opportunity is not necessarily a bad opportunity, and a surprise change is not necessarily a negative change. However, this combination can make people reactive, eager to rush ahead, or willing to make decisions before all the facts are available.

The Full Moon in Capricorn reminds us that wisdom comes from experience. Use what you've learned. Trust your judgment. Be willing to adapt when circumstances change, but don't abandon common sense in the process. Sometimes the most productive response to change is not immediate action but thoughtful, considered action.

Bringing It All Together

Taken together, these transits tell an interesting story. The Full Moon brings awareness. Mercury Retrograde encourages reflection. Jupiter in Leo asks for confidence, while Mars and Uranus push for change.

The question becomes: What are you going to do with the wisdom you've gained?

Not what you knew five years ago. Not what worked ten years ago. What do you know now?

The experiences of the last eighteen months have shaped you in important ways. They have taught you lessons, strengthened your resilience, and expanded your understanding of yourself and your life.

This Full Moon invites you to recognize that growth, trust it, and allow it to guide the choices you make as you move into the next chapter.

*If you’ve read all the way to the end of this, I appreciate you taking the time. I know this is longer-form content, and that’s intentional. I prefer doing deeper, more thoughtful forecasting rather than the surface-level, highly amplified takes that are so common on social media right now.

I’m aware I also participate in that space through short-form videos for marketing, but I try to keep those grounded and practical rather than exaggerated or fear-based. What I’m not interested in is hype-driven astrology or turning every transit into something extreme or sensational.

For me, astrology works best when it supports awareness, reflection, and personal agency. We all make our own choices, and I find it more useful—and more honest—to explore the deeper layers of what’s unfolding rather than amplifying fear or certainty where there isn’t any.

Thanks for being here and reading with that kind of attention.
